OUR SERVICES

INDUSTRIAL SANDBLASTING

Professional abrasive blasting and surface preparation for large-scale industrial and commercial metal parts throughout Western Washington.

SURFACE PREPARATION

THE FOUNDATION OF A LASTING FINISH

Proper surface preparation is the most important factor in coating performance. Sandblasting removes rust, mill scale, old coatings, and contaminants that would otherwise cause premature coating failure — regardless of the quality of the powder coating applied over them.

Our dedicated sandblasting room is 40 feet long × 15 feet wide. This allows us to process large structural steel, fabrications, trailers, and oversized components that cannot fit through a chemical pretreatment tank. Actual part capacity depends on geometry, weight, and rigging — contact us to confirm your parts can be accommodated before scheduling.

  • Removes rust, mill scale, and old coatings from steel surfaces
  • Creates a surface profile that improves mechanical adhesion for coatings
  • Prepares surfaces that cannot be processed through a chemical pretreatment tank
  • Required by some coating specifications (e.g. SSPC, NACE) — confirm requirements with your specifier
  • Effective for heavily corroded or previously coated parts
  • Performed in-house, which allows us to coordinate blasting and coating scheduling

WHAT WE OFFER

BLASTING CAPABILITIES

Large-Format Blasting Room

Our dedicated sandblasting room is 40 feet long × 15 feet wide. Usable part capacity depends on part geometry, weight, and rigging requirements — contact us to confirm whether your parts can be accommodated.

Blast Media Selection

We select abrasive media appropriate for the substrate and required surface profile. Media types available include steel grit, aluminum oxide, and glass bead — confirm specific media availability for your project when requesting a quote.

Surface Profile

Blasting creates a surface profile that improves mechanical adhesion for coatings. The required profile depends on the coating system and any applicable specifications — discuss your requirements with us before quoting.

In-House Surface Prep

Sandblasting is performed in-house, which allows us to coordinate preparation and coating scheduling. Blasted steel should be coated promptly to minimize flash rust — we manage this sequencing as part of our process.
